i’ve been interested in filmmaking for as long as i can remember, and by the time i was ready for college i’d decided that it was (probably) the only thing i wanted to do with my life. i went to pratt institute in brooklyn, ny and got my bachelor’s degree just for the heck of it. not long after, my film career started as it does for anyone — working as a background actor and paid audience member for prestigious television programs such as “the people’s court” and “the steve wilkos show.” i went on to grind away as a production assistant on various films and commercials until i realized that i didn’t really like waking up at 4am to go stand outside in below freezing temperatures and get yelled at by strangers on the sidewalk. it occurred to me that spending my time in an air conditioned office cubicle was more my speed, so i quickly fell into the whimsical world of editing (with a focus on reality television casting and development).
being a casting editor has made up most of my day-to-day jobs for the past eight years or so, but unfortunately i can’t talk about the majority of that work due to NDAs. although i am credited on a few shows that have made it to air such as “the real housewives of dubai” and “summer house: martha’s vineyard.” when i’m not too caught up in the lives and dramas of the rich and famous, i’m usually on the lookout for new creative endeavors that speak to me — whether that’s creating music with my rock n’ roll band the republic of wolves or writing short comedy films with my buddies. please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re a big fan of movie magic!
